A leading ship-owning company is working in partnership with GRS to recruit a Software Development Team Leader to join their Limassol team. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ software development, with 2 of these at a supervisory level. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the Software Development team of the Group.
  • Oversee an international team of Software Developers from varying backgrounds.
  • Responsible for the team developing business applications, targeting both web and mobile applications.
  • Lead, manage and mentor a team of developers while ensuring that both IT projects and day to day operations meet organisational and customer expectations.
  • Undertake development tasks and participates in the agile sprints.
  • Participate in code reviews.
  • Software architecture.
  • Identify customer technology needs and resolves problems.
  • Set personal targets for team members and monitors performance.
  • Provide regular feedback to team members and works with them on how to act upon it.
  • Recognise development needs, coach and develop team members as necessary.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science
  • A minimum 5 years hands-on experience in software development, with 2 year at a supervisory level.
  • Excellent understanding of relational databases & SQL.
  • Strong comprehension of system architecture.
  • Good overview of common frameworks (server-side and client-side).
  • Experience with agile & traditional development processes.
  • Practical experience with version control and ticketing.
  • Background in business applications would be advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to engage and interact with people at all levels.
  • Proven ability to lead a multi-cultural team.
