One of the finance industry’s foremost outsourcing companies, specializing in the management of sales and customer relations for finance, online-trading and currency-trading products, are looking for an IT Manager to join their team in St Julian’s.
This is a vital role in which you will be responsible for planning implementation and improvements of the business IT infrastructure while ensuring continuity of IT related services; and overseeing the management and resolution of incidents. Prior experience in a similar role, including leading and managing a team is essential.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Planning implementation and improvements of IT infrastructure while ensuring continuity of IT related services;
  • Managing and solving IT related incidents and requests, received through the internal ticketing system, by providing direct assistance when the matter can be solved locally and escalating others to support when cannot be resolved locally;
  • Ensuring that every agent within the company is fully equipped with the necessary I.T equipment and fully functional;
  • Responsibility for accounts and mail boxes creation, including them in the necessary groups and assigning permissions as requested by their respective team leaders;
  • Diagnosing, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues surrounding Windows OS, MS Office, network, e-mail, CRM/Plexop, Zoiper and hardware in a timely manner;
  • Controlling the stock and allocation of computers and associated hardware, ensuring that essential material will always be available by ordering what is required in an appropriate amount and always at the best price possible;
  • Recommending IT strategies, policies, and procedures by assessing organization outcomes, identifying problems, evaluating trends and anticipating requirements;
  • Measuring, planning and reporting on IT infrastructure capacity, participating in IT infrastructure development projects, cooperating with other IT-related teams;
  • Creating “how-to” manuals on solutions to frequently asked questions, creating procedures to improve workflow and other technical documentation;
  • Identifying problematic areas and implementing strategic solutions in time.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
  • Fluent in English (fluent in Italian is an advantage);
  • Ability to manage a small team, preferably with experience;
  • At least 2 years’ experience in IT is a must;
  • Reliable, with a “can-do” attitude and proactive approach to problem-solving;
  • Ability to work well under time pressure;
  • Degree Qualification is an advantage
