Junior Software Developer, Limassol
Our client a global investment company with offices in the UK, US & Cyprus is seeking a Junior Software Developer to join their offices in Limassol.
The successful candidate will be responsible for release management and quality assurance testing of the firm’s high frequency trading system. He/she will also be involved in operating the in-house electronic analysis and trading systems in after hours rotation. The role will involve close work with financial software engineers.
The key responsibilities of this role will be:
To build and perform tests in order to ensure delivery of high quality software
To implement procedures for the release and version control of different instances of the system
To support the company’s geographically distributed electronic trading platform
To join the team in charge of the daily setting up, running, monitoring and troubleshooting the trading system which operates 24 hours a day and which trades equities futures and spot FX in Asia, Europe and the North America.
To be involved in the development cycle.
You will have:
Degree in science/computing/numerate/engineering field
Knowledge in software development
Knowledge in SQL
Ability to work well under pressure and have proactive approach
Drive to learn and work well in a team as well as taking ownership on sub-projects
The following skills will be an advantage:
Experience in testing applications
Experience in release management
Experience in Unit Testing
A good understanding of financial products and markets
Experience within a high frequency trade support environment
The ideal candidate will have excellent all round computing skills as well as project experience in meeting deadlines coupled with, preferably, an exposure to the finance industry. Graduates are also welcome to apply.
